William “Billy” J. Habhab, 47, of Dakota City, IA, and formerly of Fort Dodge, IA, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2019, at the New Covenant Christian Church, 3318 5th Avenue South – Fort Dodge, with Pastor Michael Carmody officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery – Fort Dodge. Memorials may be directed to the family.
William was born July 14, 1972, in Fort Dodge, the son of William Nozey Habhab and Judith “Judy” Louise (Reese). He attended Fort Dodge Senior High. Billy was an entrepreneur and proud of his sanitation business, Dads Enterprise. He enjoyed spending time with family, laughter, cooking and reading the Bible. He had a strong faith and passed scripture on to his children every morning via text. Billy was an honest, selfless, loyal and compassionate person who found joy in giving to others. Some donations include the 700 Club, children's cancer, the Humboldt Theater, as well as land in Texas for new church construction. He often gave rides, food and money to the homeless and less fortunate. Billy was a member of the New Covenant Christian Church.
Billy is survived by his mother: Judy Breeden of Dakota City; 4 children: Jessica Cook, Austin Habhab, Kalila Habhab and Tareka Habhab – all of Fort Dodge; 3 grandchildren: Latrell, Latrayah and Kylayah; and 4 siblings: Michelle Brannon and husband Michael of Humboldt, IA, Nozey Habhab of Fort Dodge, Troy Habhab of Humboldt and Elizabeth Seals and husband Glen of Cedar Falls, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: William Habhab; step-father: Donald Breeden; and grandmother: Eileen Steadman.
