Virginia Bell Davison
Virginia Bell Davison, 88, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday April 23, 2009 at The Marian Home.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Bird officiating.
Virginia was born December 18, 1920 the daughter of Arlo and Flora (Roe) Bone in Humeston, Iowa. She attended grade school in Humeston and later moved with her family to Des Moines where she graduated from North High School. On September 27, 1938 Virginia was united in marriage to Lloyd Davison in Des Moines, IA. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 1942 where Virginia worked as a salesperson for Hollywood Dress Shop, House of William, Fantles Clothing and Zales. Virginia retired in 1992.
Virginia loved playing cards with numerous card clubs over the years as well as volunteering at Friendship Haven. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Those thankful for having shared in Virginias life include her children; Lloyd David (Sonya) Davison of Lehigh, Iowa, Gary James (Patricia) Davison of Clear Lake, Iowa, Richard Lee (Patsy) Davison of Sioux City, Iowa, one sister; Margery Workman of Bloomington, MN, sister in law; Mary Bone of Des Moines, IA, two very good friends; Chuckie Russell, Marian Beisser, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Davison was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd in 1983, daughter; Sandra Moore in 1997, brother; Rex Bone and a brother in law; John Workman.
