Viola L. Tullis
Viola L. Tullis, 92, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in the Commons of the Tompkins Health Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Trembly. Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at Friendship Haven.
Viola was born February 14, 1913 the daughter of Livert and Viola May (Burnett) Griep in Le Sueur, MN. As a young girl Viola moved to Fort Dodge with her parents.
Over the years Viola enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing, and doing some golfing. She participated in a womens bowling league and looked forward to watching the Minnesota Twins on TV. Viola greatly treasured her grandchildren.
Those thankful for having shared in Violas life include her sons; David (Viola) Winters of Hiawatha, KS, and Donald Winters of Nashville, TN, one sister; Marjorie Blair, one brother; Darrell (Trudy) Griep, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Tullis was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, one sister, and four brothers.
Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center has been entrusted with the arrangements.
