Vernice A. Gustafson

Vernice A. Gustafson, 90, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday April 30, 2008 at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday May 5, 2008 at the Epworth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. James H. Chesnutt officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.   Visitation will be held from 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home. Vernice was born August 9, 1917 the daughter of John M. and Emma L. (Shepardson) Foreman in Fort Dodge, IA.  In 1935 she graduated from the Glidden High School.  Vernice was united in marriage to Kenneth Gustafson in 1949. Vernice loved watching the birds, riding horses and playing 31 with her friends.  She looked forward to taking a leisurely drive through the country side and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Patricia J. (Steve) Vandi of Gowrie, IA, Kenneth K. (Cathy) Gustafson Jr. of Otho, IA, one sister; Fern L. Hoyt of Longmont, CO, two granddaughters; Nicole Graber, Stephanie Vandi, three great granddaughters; Elizabeth, Isabella and Alexandra Graber. Mrs. Gustafson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister; Ruth G. Foreman, two brothers; Gerald (Margaret) Foreman and J. Gerald Foreman.
