Ruth D. Nyght, 87, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday February 23, 2011 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend John Sersland officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ruth was born March 8, 1923 the daughter of Martin and Mabel (Evans) Larson in Callender, Iowa.  On December 14, 1940 Ruth was united in marriage to Robert A. Nyght.

Ruth was a great cook who enjoyed spending time in the kitchen baking and canning.  Ruth enjoyed being at home.

Those thankful for having shared in Ruths life include her children, Carol Miller, Judy and her husband Jim Fields, five grandchildren, Jim P. Fields, Ann Forkner, Laurie Harris, Doug Miller, Rob Miller, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Nyght was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 2007, son Howard, two granddaughters, Kelly and Lisa Fields and one grandson, Andrew Miller.
