Ruby M. Rojohn

Ruby Marie Rojohn, 96, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Marian Home Care Center.

A private family funeral service will be held.

Ruby was born March 6, 1911 the daughter of Charles E. and Jamima (Hevlin) McReynolds in Fairmont, IA.  Ruby finished her formal education and then went on to earn her teaching certificate.  Ruby taught country school until she was married.  She was later employed as a chef at Tonys Famous Foods for many years. 

On July 4, 1934 Ruby was united in marriage to Leo C. Rojohn at the Riverside United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. 

Those thankful for having shared in Rubys life include her children; Claire (Ginger) Rojohn of Juno Isles, Florida, Phyllis (Merle) Anderson of Manson, Doris Jeanne (Delbert) Miller of Baker City, OR, Gladyce (Kenneth) Lathrop of Iowa Falls, IA, Glenda (David) Friesth of Tempe, AZ, Dennis Rojohn of Fort Dodge, Edward (Lynn) Rojohn of Olathe, KS, one sister; Isabelle Shaw of Missouri Valley, IA, one brother; Sam (Margaret) McReynolds of Des Moines, IA, 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Rojohn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
