Robert McLuckie

Robert Joseph McLuckie, 71, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Bruce~Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Pastor Beryl Vinchattle. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 1856. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert was born December 28, 1932 the son of James Robert and Laura Evelyn (Urban) McLuckie in Fort Dodge, IA. Robert later enlisted in the United States Army Airborne Division.

On June 7, 1952 Robert was united in marriage Shirley Jean Parks in Springfield, TN.

Robert loved figure 8 racing, and checking out the different semi tractors. He could spend hours puttering around and not getting much accomplished. He was part of the Otho Calo Community Church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Those thankful for having shared in Robert’s life include his wife, Shirley, mother, Laura Erickson of Fort Dodge, one son, Robert Kent McLuckie of Tallahassee, Florida, three daughters, Connie Jo Roe of Dayton, Lori Jean (Jesse) Becker of Coalville, and Sharon Ann McLuckie of Fort Dodge, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Mr. McLuckie was preceded in death by his father, James Robert McLuckie.
