Ricki L. Williams

Ricki L. Williams, 69, of Boone, IA, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Clarence (Rick) and Edna Williams, and step-brother Dick Williams. He is survived by his children Kat Williams and Nicole Williams, both of Austin, Texas; his siblings Kathi (Ronnie) Harris, Cindy (Don) Kane, Ronald (Mai) Williams, Kenneth Williams, and Russell Williams; his step-brothers Randy Williams and Colin Williams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School. He dedicated the latter years of his professional life to a fulfilling career with the US Postal Service in Des Moines.  Rick loved tinkering with any machine, from computer circuit boards to vintage car engines. He loved country guitar and gospel music; he got a special kick out of surprising service workers with his impromptu basso profundo. He loved God and studied religious texts from both within and without his Christian faith. He loved convenience store coffee, wordplay, and making everyone who crossed his path laugh. He loved his children most of all.
