Rhonda Madeline Shute, 49, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Geitz officiating.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m.

Rhonda was born July 16, 1957 the daughter of Loren and Gertrude (Hillmer) Shute in Fairmont, MN.  The family moved to Fort Dodge in 1967 and Rhonda was enrolled at the St. Paul Lutheran School in which she attended thru the 8th grade.  She graduated from the Fort Dodge Senior High in the class of 1975.  Rhonda continued her education at Iowa Central Community College. In 1980 Rhonda earned her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Iowa.  She went on to work at the following nursing homes; Friendship Haven, Director of Nursing at Villa Care, Humboldt Care Center and Expo Care Center.   Rhonda then started working on computers from her home.

Rhonda loved to work, travel and put puzzles together.  Rhonda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was also the parish nurse.

Those thankful for having shared in Rhondas life include her mother; Gertrude Shute, one sister; Ramona (Kerry) Roth, one brother; Michael (Cindy) Shute, three nieces; Dana Smith, Donna Smith, Brittany Shute, five nephews; Dustin Smith, Kyle and Sam Roth, Isaiah and Jacob Shute, two great nieces; Makinzie and Ellie, and three great nephews; Landon, Jordan and Colby.

Ms. Shute was preceded in death by her father Loren in March of 2003 and a sister Debra Smith in July of 1998.
