Rebecca Ann Jacobson

Rebecca Ann Jacobson, 82, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South, with Rev. John Elkin officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Rebecca was born October 2, 1940, in Mankato, MN, the daughter of Loren and Margaret (Ames) Peach.  She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1958.  Rebecca was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Allen Jacobson on March 6, 1970, in Welcome, MN.  The couple made their home in Fort Dodge where they started their family.  They were known as the “grandparents of the Wahkonsa”.  Rebecca was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Rebecca also enjoyed making Christmas cards, watching forensic files, Titanic & Dr. Pimple Popper.

Rebecca is survived by her children: Doug Jacobson (Shawnterrie) of Phoenix, AZ, Sally Wheeler (Cellie Easter) of Somers, IA, Danny Brown of Peachtree City, GA, Susie Allyassin (Mo) of Gainesville, FL, and Shirley Brown of Grapevine, TX; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother: George Peach of Columbus, OH.  She is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2015; infant son in 1971:  Robbie; grandchild: Cory Jacobson; and sister:  Patricia “Lauren” Peach.

Sally and Cellie took care of her until her death…. Sally was by her side, holding her hand until her final breath.
