Rania L. Baker

Rania L. Baker, 66, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Monday, June 8, 2020, at Unity Point – Trinity Regional Medical Center. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Rania was born August 5, 1953, in Rolfe, IA, the daughter of Richard and Marion (Thomas) Kuchenreuther. She attended Rolfe High School. In May of 1975, Rania was united in marriage to Ronald Eugene Wood and to this union three children were born: April, Shannon and Christopher. Rania was a good listener who enjoyed spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, TV and baking. She made the best cinnamon rolls.

Rania is survived by 2 children: April Lyon and husband Daniel of Sioux City, IA and Shannon Wood and wife of Tina of Pocahontas, IA; husband: Rick Sample of Fort Dodge; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; and 2 brothers: Alan Kuchenreuther and wife Arlis and Glenn Kuchenreuther. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald in 1994; son: Christopher Michael Wood; 1 grandchild; and a brother: Darwin Kuchenreuther.
