Ramona G. Poldevaart
Ramona G. Poldervaart, 72, died Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 9:15 a.m. Saturday March 3rd in the Chapel of Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church in Clare with the Reverend Tim Johnson officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Clare. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Ramona was born January 31, 1935 the daughter of Clark Eugene and Margaret Pearl (Perry) Jones. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School.
On October 31, 1953 Ramona was united in marriage to Arie Poldervaart at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. Fifty years later the couple renewed there vows again in Nashua.
Ramona loved to spend hours watching and feeding the birds. Over the years she enjoyed numerous camping trips and the fishing excursions that went along with them. Ramona also enjoyed working with her flowers and canning her summer harvest. She admired her grandchildren and was always interested in there activities. Ramona was a member of St. Matthew Church in Clare.
Those thankful for having shared in Ramonas life include her husband of more than 53 years; Arie, eleven children; Arie Poldervaart, David Poldervaart, Ronald Poldervaart, Judy (Willie) Haines, Debra Poldervaart, Lori Poldervaart all of Clare, Ramona (Jeff) Kirchhoff of Humboldt, Sandy (Brett) Mallinger of Thor, Steven (Ronica) Poldervaart of Fort Dodge, Donald (Shanette) Poldervaart of Fort Dodge, Gary Poldervaart of Duncombe, two sisters; Colleen Whipple, Virginia Martin, 19 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, one great grandchild, and 14 step great grandchildren.
Mrs. Poldervaart was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter; Mona Kay, two grandsons; Roger and Clark, three sisters, and three brothers.
