Services for Pheng Phompong 75 of Webster City will be held at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Saturday December 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mark Eichler of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City officating. Pheng died at her home on Tuesday December 8, 2015. Pheng came to America from Laos with her seven children in 1981 for a better life. She had one more child after coming to America and raised her 8 children on her own. She taught her children patience and kindness by example. Her children remember how she loved to tell stories. She loved going to church every sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City. Her most treasured time she spent with her grandchildren. She loved gardening, walking, and hunting for wild asparagus and mushrooms as well as cooking any kind of soup. She is survived by her children Nath, Chath, Chaph, Song, Kheuak, Kam, Khai, Loson and Sorn, as well as 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and a sister Khem still living in Laos. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and her husband Ya. Following the services the family will attend a cremation ceremony in Fort Dodge, Iowa with interment of cremains at a later date.
