Pearl McCormick

Pearl E. McCormick died July 16, 2018 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Memorial services will be 11:00 Saturday July 21, 2018 at the Gowrie Community Center in Gowrie, Iowa with Pastors Greg and Deb Stano officiating. Visitation will be Friday July 20, 2018 from 6pm – 8pm at Historic Bruce Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Callander Cemetery.

Pearl Ellen McCormick was born March 5, 1932 in Farnhamville, Iowa to George and Bertha Millis. She grew up in the Farnhamville area and attended schools there. On March 19, 1965 Pearl was united in marriage to Richard McCormick. The couple resided in Fort Dodge, where Pearl work for the Globe Union as a night supervisor and after retirement, she headed detasseling crews for several years. She enjoyed reading romances and westerns.

She is survived by her children; Jonathan McCormick, Jerome McCormick, Dale Pierce, Randy Smith, Patricia Strunk and step daughter Eileen Long and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Waters, Flossie Hoffmann and Fred Millis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Earl Kelly Jr. and grandchildren, Angeleen and Robert.
