Paula Joyce Bilek was born February 27, 1949 in Omaha, NE to Jack and Mildred (Keezer) Hebert. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1967. Paula was united in marriage to David John Bilek in the summer of 1969. The couple lived in Iowa City while David attended Pharmacy School and then returned to Fort Dodge. Paula worked in a local bank and for a jewelry store. She was also a volunteer at the hospital gift shop. The couple lived in Nevada from 1989-1999. David passed in 1997 and Paula moved back to the Fort Dodge area in 1999 and for the last two years has been a resident of Villa Care Center. Her hobbies included crafting, sketching, and ceramics. Paula was a very artistic person and enjoyed making home decor and decorating. She was a member of the Elk's Club and Holy Trinity Parish.
She is survived by her son Bryan (Vicki) Bilek of Manson, 2 grandchildren; Cameron and Colton and three brothers; Steve Hebert of Fort Dodge, John (Mary) Hebert of Rockwell City, and Jim (Brenda) Hebert of Fort Dodge and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. at 1639 10th Street, Manson, Iowa.
