Paul Ronald Reedy

Paul Ronald Reedy, 92 , of Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away quietly with family at his side on Thursday morning, May 30, 2013. Funeral services, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6 at Fort Dodge Area Funeral & Cremation Service, Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday where there will be a visitation with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Northlawn Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Fort Dodge Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Paul was employed for U.S.G. Gypsum Mill for 29 years until his retirement in 1979, and then owned and operated Pauls Saw Shop, until health problems forced him to pass on his business to both sons. He was a member Epworth United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge, the Disabled Veterans of America and had life-long memberships in the American Legion and V.F.W. in Fort Dodge.

Through the years he enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping with his family. He crocheted many doilies and was a rug weaver.

Paul leaves behind his wife of over 67 years, Margaret; 3 children, Paul E. (Rita) of Fort Dodge, Larry G. (Michelle) of LaGrange, GA, and Diane M. (Pat) Daniels of Farnhamville; 9 grandchildren, Paul Edward, John, Kristina, Kelly, Lynn, Shanda, Dennis, Dawn, and Daniel; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Doris (Donald) Livasy; and a great-great grandson.
