Monica J. Pringle, 72, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Lighthouse Ministries, 1333 4th Avenue North, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the church service. Interment will take place at Holaday Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Monica was born June 12, 1949, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Kenneth and Flavia (Flynn) Hansen. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1967. Monica worked in the Hy-Vee Bakery for many years, until her retirement. In 1969 Monica was United in marriage to Monte Pringle. They later divorced. From this Union were two children. Phillip Pringle and Brian Pringle. Monica enjoyed many things including scratch tickets, fishing, crocheting, baking and games – especially board games.
Monica is survived by 2 sons: Phillip of Fort Dodge and Nathan of Fort Dodge; 2 grandchildren: Zachary Pringle and Tyler Pringle; 2 great grandchildren: Kalem Pringle and Emmett Pringle; and 4 siblings: Gloria Smith and husband Gary of Fort Dodge, Bill Hansen of Livermore, IA, Sue Henry and partner Willie Edgerton of Fort Dodge, and Sandy Williams of Washington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Brian Pringle; and a brother: Kenny Hansen.
