Miriam Wade Scroggins Grunwald, 85, of Burleson, TX, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the Huguley Hospital, Fort Worth, TX.

A private graveside service was held in North Lawn Cemetery.

Miriam was born April 15, 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Georgia Wade in Frisco, TX. She graduated from Frisco High School in 1940, and then attended North Texas University in Denton, TX.

In November of 1942 Miriam was united in marriage to Mearl L. Scroggins of Fort Dodge, IA. Following his discharge from the Army the couple moved to Fort Dodge. Mearl preceded Miriam in death in 1974. To this union two children were born; Mrs. Shirley Semprini, who preceded Miriam in death in 1992, and Mrs. Nancy Dally who survives and lives in Joshua, TX. Also surviving her are 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. One grandson preceded her in death.

In February 1978 Miriam was united in marriage to Ewald Grunwald of Fort Dodge, the couple resided in Fort Dodge until moving to Eufaula, OK in 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the WMU Bible Study, the Eufaula Garden Club, and the Friendly Lake Eufaula Area Supporters, an organization of the women around Lake Eufaula. While living in Fort Dodge she was the manager of the North Junior High School Cafeteria for 15 years.
