Mike W. Wessel

Mike “Pocits” Wessel, 66, of Fort Dodge, IA died Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held at Loomis Park from 1:00 PM until ??? on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Michael W. Wessel was born April 18, 1955, in Fort Dodge, the son of Willard B. and Betty Lou (Davis) Wessel. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1974. Mike worked construction most of his life. He enjoyed boxing, hunting, fishing, cooking, making relish, building different things, fireworks and children – especially his granddaughter. Mike was a member of the NRA.

Mike is survived by 2 daughters: Amy and Emily; and a granddaughter: Payton. He is also survived by an adopted in daughter: Megan Madison, and her daughter Emelyn; as well as many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Glenn Wessel; and grandparents: Gladys and Bernie Wessel.
