Michael E. Blaha

Michael Eugene Blaha, 61, of Fort Dodge, IA, passed away Thursday, September 19th, 2019, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines, IA. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 28th, 2019, at the First Covenant Church, 201 Ave H – Fort Dodge, with Pastor Allan Redenius officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Michael was born June 19th, 1958 in Fort Dodge, the son of Eugene and Marjorie (Bever) Blaha. He attended Fort Dodge schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1977. In 1981, he was united in marriage to Dianne Strunk. They separated in 1989. Then in 1992, he was united in marriage to Julie Cote and officially separated in 2017. Through the years Michael worked at Chantlands in Humboldt, Iowa and up until his Parkinsons Disease took over he worked for Becker Rentals in Fort Dodge.

Survivors include his Daughter Kayleen (Cory) Scott, Son Adam Blaha, Brother Mark Blaha, Step-Daughter Chris Garcia, and Step-Son Rodney Johnson. Grand-Children Brittney, Allison, Autumn, Destiny, & Jaxson and Step Grand-Children Shyan, Moneke, Alex, Brisa, & Nathan, Step Great Grand-Son Zayne, Niece and Nephew Alicia Summers and Matt Blaha, Ex-Wives Dianne and Julie, and a special friend Nicole Knippel.
