Michael C. Baker, 69, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, June 12, 2020, at his home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Michael was born October 3, 1950, in Lake City, IA, the son of Orland Robert “Bob” and Betty (Tubbs) Baker. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1968. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1974. Michael worked as a truck dispatcher in Omaha, NE for many years until his retirement in 2012. Michael was a good artist and even made a violin. He enjoyed Indian artifacts, guns, camping, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed have a few beers with his sister.
Michael is survived by his step mother: Mary Baker of Fort Dodge; 2 siblings: Sherry Wilson and husband Lefty Sanders of Fort Dodge and Phil Baker and wife Cindy of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Betty and Bob Baker.
