Mary Jane Jondle

Mary Jane Jondle of Fort Dodge died December 23, 2004 at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, December 28th at Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Edward Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday, December 27th at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.

Mary was born March 3, 1928 to the parents of Henry Kallansrud and Gertie Simpson in Fort Dodge. Mary graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High and then continued to take business classes. She met the love of her life, Bernard Jonlde and on February 18, 1946 she was united in marriage in Fort Dodge at the United Methodist Church.

Mary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved the fishing trips and helping Bernard haul corn to town. Mary enjoyed having coffee with her friends, quilting, sewing and tending to her gardens. The family gatherings that Mary loved to cook for always had her chocolate sponge cake. Mary loved singing and playing the piano. Sharing time with her grandchildren and helping others was where Mary’s heart was. Her generosity, kindness, compassion and devotion to her family and friends will always be remembered leaving many fond memories to be shared.

Those thankful for sharing in Mary’s life include her husband Bernard Jondle; 6 children, Bob Jondle (Kathy) and their children, Machelle (Mark) McClendon and their 2 children, Brittney and Ashley; Bob (Amy) Jondle and their child Beth; Pamela and her 3 children, Sherry Jaeschke and her children McCallie Jo and R.J. Rahn; Christy (Chad) Hicks and their children Cody, Cole, Cory, Chloe and Chyann; Heith (Amy) Jaeschke and their children, Dakota, Madyson and Emily; Patricia (Greg) Heidrick and her 2 children Eli Riedesel and his child McKenzie, Blu Riedesel; Connie Jondle; Ron (Regina) Jondle and their children, Greg and Mark Jondle; Beverly Jondle and her child Katara Rose Jondle; Survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Kallansrud.
