Marvin "Marv" Davis

Marvin Davis, 78, of Fort Dodge, passed away October 11, 2022, at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24 at 11:00 AM at Historic Bruce Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Marvin “Marv” Davis was born April 8, 1944, in Fort Dodge to Marvin F. and Grace (Musselman) Davis.  He graduated from Cedar Valley High School in 1962.  Marv married Gail Martin on August 17, 1964.  For 26 years Marv was a Federal Meat Inspector, and retired in 1993.

Marv was a member of Prairie Lakes Church.  In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and passing all that knowledge down to his children and grandchildren. He was known for the quality of Coonhounds and Pigeons he raised and placed in competitions.  Horseback riding was another hobby that Marv enjoyed.

Marv is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Grace, wife Gail, and great grandchild Kayden.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Robin Davis-Duckworth; son Brandon Blunk; 6 grandchildren; Brittney, Brandi, Justin, Colton, Bryli, Beckham; 6 great grandchildren; Nathan, Braxton, Sianah, Isabella, Nova, Ava and brother Jack (Sheila) Davis. And his three nieces Julie, Jodie, And Jennie.
