Lynn L Deal

Celebration of Life Services for Lynn L. Deal 53, of Fort Dodge will be Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Opera House at Fort Museum in Fort Dodge. Gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm all held Sunday at the Opera House. Lynn died at her home on May 2, 2017.

Lynn Lori Grell Deal was born June 22, 1963 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Pat and Doris (Ferguson) Grell. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1981. She then attended Iowa Central Community College. On March 31, 1990 Lynn was united in marriage to Troy Deal in Fort Dodge, and in Lynn's words, “married for 27,000 years”. Lynn worked in sales at More Than Floors in Humboldt for several years. Her hobbies included kayaking, boating, and motorcycling. Lynn was very artistic and could create whatever came into her mind. Doing crafts, stained glass and being a gourmet cook were some of her main interests. However, her real passion in life were animals.

Lynn will be remembered by her husband Troy Deal and her daughter Macy Deal. Her mother Doris Grell and her siblings with their families: sister Paula (Marv) Leffingwell and their children Keith and Patrick McMannus; sister Glenda (Kirk) Benson and their children Amy Ball and Kenny Benson, brother Ronnie (Rita) Grell and their children Steve Grell, Jessie Grell and Bob Grell; and brother Mike (Vicky) Grell and their daughter Crystal Grell-McKinney. She is also survived by Troy's family; Ed and Colleen Deal, Sherry (Shawn) Moritz and their children, Aly Moritz, Beth Wentink and Frank Wentink; Tracy (Jerry) Samuelson and their children Gavyn, Gayge, and Kirstyn; and Steve (Terri) Deal with their children Jason Deal, Amy Fagan and Sara Dornbusch.

She was preceded in death by her father Pat Grell and nephews Chad Grell and Michael Benson.
