Lyle F. Miller of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday May 27, 2008 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Sersland officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the Walter Porsch VFW Post 1856.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Lyle was born July 22, 1926 the son Henry and Luella (PeCoy) Miller in Pomeroy, Iowa.  Following graduation from Pomeroy High School Lyle worked for a short time at the Bush Hog Manufacturing plant before enlisting in the United States Army.  Lyle served his country from October 23, 1944 until his honorable discharge on November 19, 1946.  Upon his return from the service Lyle attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake.  He later began working at National Gypsum dedicating his life to his job until his retirement.  Lyle was known for his ability to grow exotic flowers and his beautiful flower beds.  He also enjoyed playing cards and would challenge anyone to a game.  Lyle was a member of the Moose Lodge, V.F.W. and the Eagles.              Those thankful for having shared in Lyles life include his siblings; Joyce Crouse of Fort Dodge, Loren Miller of Otho, Irene Crilly of Billings, MT, Lynda Miller of Tyler, Texas, and Douglas Miller of Hiawatha, Iowa.             Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Priscilla and Rita, four brothers; Roy, Thomas, Ray and John.
