Lucile M. Dellit, 96, of Grundy Center, IA and formerly of Fort Dodge, IA, died Monday, March 16, 2020, at the Grundy Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge with Rev. Jennifer Osheim-Owen, Chaplain – Friendship Haven officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Lucile was born August 5, 1923, in Marshall County, IA, the daughter of George R. and Emma (Propp) Curry. She graduated from Laurel, IA in 1941. On February 22, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harold W. Dellit in Omaha, NE. They had three sons: Rickey, Ronald, Kevin, and adopted daughters: Karol and Kimberly. Lucile was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, sewing, crafting, painting and watching sports with her husband. She had a strong faith and was heavily involved with United Methodist Woman groups, circle and Bible study within the United Methodist Church.
Lucile is survived by four children: Ronald Dellit of Grundy Center, Kevin Dellit and wife Charla of Craig, CO, Karol Dellit of Santa Fe, NM and Kimberly Herman and husband Jeff of Red Oak, IA; six grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Rev. Harold W. Dellit in 2007; son: Rickey Dellit; and daughter-in-law: Barbara Dellit.
