Louise K. Kramer

Louise K. Kramer, 81, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by her family.   Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South.  A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Louise was born October 7, 1941, in Rockwell City, IA, the daughter of Robert D. and Fredene L. (Green) Kellen.  She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1960.  On October 29, 1960, she was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Larry Kramer, at the First Congregational Church.  For years during the holidays, Louise and Larry sold sports jerseys and sweatshirts at the Crossroads Mall.  Louise loved spending time in her yard & garden, reading many books, and taking care of & spoiling her many pets.  Most important in her life was spending time with her husband and family.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge, 500 Card Club and the Minnesota Vikings Fan Club.  Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She will be deeply missed.

Louise is survived by her sister:  Kristine A. (Randy) Kolbe of Solon, IA; 2 children: Lynn Kramer of Des Moines, IA and Libby (Nicholas) Ehrhardt of Humboldt, IA; 2 grandchildren: Cassidy Lee (Justin DeFrancisco) and Carter Morrill; and 2 great grandchildren: Harlow and Tegan.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 62 years:  Larry Kramer.
