Linda M. Fetters, 72, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, September 25, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday September 29, 2020, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday September 28, 2020, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery. Face masks are appreciated and social distancing will be followed by attendees. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Linda was born February 24, 1948, in Barnum, IA, the daughter of Stanley and Edna (Shors) Humpal. She graduated from Barnum High School in 1966. On June 23, 1969, she was united in marriage to Larry Fetters at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. To this union a son, Larry Jr. was born. The couple later divorced. In 2016, the couple reunited. Linda worked for Northwoods Living for 20 years until her retirement in 2010. Linda enjoyed listening to music – especially Elvis. She was a huge fan and even took a trip to Graceland. She also enjoyed watching Larry Jr. and Larry bowl, attending car shows (Ja-Mar's & Goodguys), and being outside tending to her flowers.
Linda is survived by her son: Larry Fetters Jr. and wife Heather of Fort Dodge; her companion: Larry Fetters of Fort Dodge; step-son: Larry Nathaniel Kennedy of Anamosa, IA; 2 grandchildren: Alex and Kylene Fetters; and 2 siblings. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter: Peyton Fetters; and 8 siblings.
