Leila "Lee" A. Nichols

Leila “Lee” A. Nichols, 83, of Webster City, IA, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Windsor Manor Assisted Living.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South – Fort Dodge, with Rev. John Elkin officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place at the Vincent Newark Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Leila was born July 10, 1938, in Vincent, IA, the daughter of Frank A. and Gladys M. (Conley) Nichols.  She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1956 and continued her education at Business School.  Lee was a sales woman and corporate manager for rental cars.  Over the years, she worked for Northwest Orient Airlines, Frontier Airlines, UNIVAC, National Car Rental and Thrifty Car Rental.  Lee was a simple person who cherished her time with her family – especially her nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed golfing, reading, listening to music and playing cards with her friends.  She also enjoyed a nice cocktail.  Lee was a member of card club.

Lee is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 4 siblings:  Robert Duane Nichols, Adelbert George Nichols, Dean Clayton Nichols and Eva Mae Durkee.
