LaVerne Keller

LaVerne “Slick” Keller, 78, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 23 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Walter Porsch V.F.W. Post 1856.

LaVerne was born on May 22, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska.  He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1951 until is discharge in 1952.  After his tour of duty he returned home and drove semi for Don Pirie for a number of years.  He also worked for Fort Dodge Asphalt for ten years upon his return home from the service.    

Those thankful for having shared in LaVernes life include his daughter, Diana (Kevin) Jones, sons; Ricky Keller, Kevin Keller, and Randy Keller, granddaughters; Angel (Ryan) Koehn, and Charity (Bob) Bunker, great-granddaughters; Meganne and Melanie.

LaVerne is preceded in death by his wife; Delores Waisanen
