Laura Evelyn Erickson, 92, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the Bickford Cottage.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Mark Gustafson officiating. Interment will be held in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Bickford Cottage or Hospice of Webster Co.

Laura was born August 24, 1914 the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Liska) Urban in Fort Dodge, IA. She was a graduate of Moorland High School. Laura was united in marriage to James Robert McLuckie and to this union a son was born.

Laura loved animals and was especially fond of cats and dogs. In her younger years she was an avid collector of antiques and dabbled in the sales of such from her basement. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt.

Those thankful for having shared in Lauras life include her daughter in law Shirley McLuckie of Fort Dodge, three granddaughters; Connie (Sherman) Roe of Dayton, Lori (Jesse) Becker of Coalville, and Sharon McLuckie of Fort Dodge, five great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by her parents, husband; James Robert McLuckie, and one son; Robert McLuckie.
