Kevin Blake Whittington

Kevin Blake Whittington 48 of Des Moines, formerly of Fort Dodge died at his home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to services. A memorial service will also be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Radiant Church 1300 Metro East Drive, Pleasant Hill, IA. Interment will be at a later date.

Kevin Blake Whittington was born March 23, 1967 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Donald and Joann (Nelsen) Whittington. He graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1984. He then attended Iowa Central Community College and then graduated from Iowa State. Kevin was united in marriage to Sharyn Bastow on August 31, 1996. The family has resided in Des Moines where Kevin had worked for Wells Fargo, Vital Support and most recently for One Neck. Kevin enjoyed family events always attending his childrens sporting events,  other activities and camping. He is survived by his wife Sharyn, children; Taylor, Mackenzie, Kaylee, Julia and Kadin all of Des Moines. He is also survived by his parents Donald and Joann Whittington of Fort Dodge and his sister Sheryl Merrill of Florida. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
