Kenneth was born August 15, 1952, in Fort Dodge, the son of Charles Mervin and Mildred Gladys (Rathke) Vinsand. He attended school in Badger. Kenneth worked for Fort Dodge Asphalt for 50 years until his retirement in 2020. He was united in marriage to Jean Marie (Clark) on March 21, 2002. Kenneth had an unwavering love for NASCAR, spending countless hours watching Sunday races, proudly cheering for his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr., as well as any driver behind the wheel of a Chevy. His enthusiasm for the sport also brought an opportunity while he worked at Fort Dodge Asphalt to travel to Atlanta Georgia and work on The Atlanta Motor Speedway and do the dirt work and final grading before it was re-paved. Kenneth enjoyed classic television. He was fond of Westerns, with John Wayne being a particular favorite, and often laughed along with the antics of M*A*S*H and Gunsmoke. He also enjoyed taking care of his dogs - especially Peewee, who brought him joy and companionship. Kenneth was a member of the Badger Lutheran Church.
