Kenneth P. Johnson

Kenneth P. Johnson, 77, of Badger, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Haverland officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the Walter Porsch VFW Post 1856.  Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born July 9, 1930 the son of Clayton and Jennie Johnson in Fort Dodge, IA.  Kenneth was inducted into the United States Army on April 26, 1951 serving his country til his honorable discharge on January 26, 1953.  Kenneth was then transferred to the Army reserve in which he served until June 1, 1956.  On October 16, 1930 Kenneth was united in marriage to Roberta Bert Johnson.

Kenneth loved camping, fishing and traveling with his family.  He enjoyed watching baseball and the Iowa Hawkeyes.  He spent many hours with his pet dogs Tiffany and Buffy and was extremely proud of his family.

Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Dodge.

Those thankful for having shared in Kenneths life include his children; Deb (Dean) Fischer of Rockwell City, IA, Ed Johnson of Seattle, WA, Jay Johnson of Fort Dodge, IA, one granddaughter; Michelle (Jesse) Cervene, three great grandchildren; Kassandra, Tyler and Tanner.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bert and a grandson Michael Kruger.
