Kenneth A. Dillon

Kenneth A. Dillon, 77, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Marian Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday June 26, 2006 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Matthew Martens of Grace Lutheran Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation per the familys request.

Kenneth was born August 20, 1928 the son of Alvin and Vivian G. (Point) Dillon in Wesley, IA.  Kenneth was inducted into the United States Navy on July 14, 1946 in Algona, IA and was honorably discharged on July 14, 1948 in San Diego, CA.  He served as a Seaman 1st Class in the Sea Bees.

On June 10, 1949 Kenneth was united in marriage to Lois Adams in Algona, IA the couple later divorced.  On March 1, 1971 Kenneth was united in marriage to Lola Johnson Sterba in Sioux Falls, SD.

Kenneth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Fort Dodge.

Those thankful for having shared in Kenneths life include his wife Lola, four children; Terry L. (Bonnie) Dillon of Garfield, MN, Sue (Tim) Kelly of Fort Dodge, IA, Barb (Dan) McMahan Webster City, IA, Pat Dillon and Ken Ficken of Springfield, MO, one stepson Steve Sterba of Columbia, MO, two sisters; Dorothy Studer of Algona, IA, and Ramona Fox of Peoria, IL, nine grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and 21 great grandchildren.

Mr. Dillon was preceded in death by his Father, Alvin Dillon, Mother Vivian Thornberry, one brother, Ivan Dillon, two sisters; Pat Harris, and Ilo Woods, and an infant daughter, Virginia.
