Kathryn M. Witzke

Kathryn Marie Witzke, age 68, died at the Villa Care Center in Ft. Dodge, Iowa on December 7, 2016.  She was born on February 2, 1948 to parents Lyle and Eva (Artzer) Smith in Ft Dodge, Iowa.  She attended schools through the 8th grade and due to family health issues had to help with the family.  Kathryn was employed as a housekeeper for nursing homes for many years.   Kathryn and Raymond Witzke were married  June 12, 1965 for a total of 51 years.   She loved her cats, however her greatest love was her family.  She is survived by the following:  Husband Raymond Witzke of Ft. Dodge, sons: Lyle and Sean (Serena) Witzke; daughter Stacy Witzke, brothers: James (Janet) Smith and John( (Fran) Smith; sister  Elizabeth Hefley; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents: Lyle and Eva Smith and a brother Edward J. Smith.  Condolences may be directed to the family at 2232 S. 14th St. in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  No services are planned.
