Jule Nordstrom

Jule Delano Nordstrom, 72, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, June 9, 2006 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matthew Martens officiating.  Interment will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Boxholm, IA.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Jule was born April 19, 1934 the son of Leroy and Florence (Schultz) Nordstrom in Fort Dodge, IA.  In February of 1955 Jule was united in marriage to Lois E. Durschmidt in Fort Dodge.

Jule was employed with Hormel for 18 years and later worked for the Fort Dodge Senior Citizens Center.  Jule was fascinated with older cars and motorcycles.  He was very particular about the appearance of his automobile and enjoyed detailing it on a regular basis.  Jule was an avid Cubs fan who never missed a game.  He loved to watch western movies and go for long walks.

Those thankful for having shared in Jules life include his four children; John (Ann) Nordstrom of Sioux City, IA, Terry (Julie) Nordstrom of Scottsdale, AZ, Fred Nordstrom of Phoenix, AZ, and Jeanne (Mike) Herrington of Eagle Grove, IA, seven grandchildren; Michelle Altena, Ashley Nordstrom, Anthony Herrington, Stephanie Herrington, Adam Herrington, David Peterson, and Michelle Wymore and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Nordstrom was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Merle Nordstrom and Lois Voltmer.
