Joe A. Biondahl

Joe A. Biondahl, 82, of Thor, IA, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, with his wife and faithful dog “Dee Dee” by his side. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Joe Allen Biondahl was born April 2, 1938, in Humboldt County, IA, the son of Manly and Margaret (Jenkins) Biondahl. He attended Eagle Grove Schools in Eagle Grove, IA. On March 22, 1986, he was united in marriage to Sheryl (Wendt) at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Joe enjoyed riding horses at Brushy Creek, going to sales, harness races and passing out Bit-O-Honey candy. He worked with his father for many years at Manly Mfg. in Thor as a welder and Parker wagon salesman.

Joe is survived by his wife of 34 years: Sheryl Biondahl of Thor; 3 children: David Biondahl and wife Jackie of Louisiana, Deb Knudtson and husband Paul of Thor, and Shari Biondahl of Eagle Grove; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a sister: Pauline Tomlinson and husband Tom of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Rita Biondahl; and 2 sisters: Joan and Sharon.
