Jocelyn Collins

Jocelyn Kate Collins, 33, of Fort Dodge was called home peacefully in her sleep in the early afternoon Friday, February 11, 2005 at USA Healthcare in Fort Dodge with her mother at her side.

Jocelyn was born October 6, 1971 in Fort Dodge, IA. She attended Riverside Elementary, Fair Oaks Middle School and Fort Dodge Senior High School where she received her diploma.

In October 1988, Jocelyn received a Certified Nurses Assistant Certificate from Iowa Central Community College. She then worked for USA Healthcare in Fort Dodge.

In August 2001, Jocelyn moved to Chicago, IL to be closer to her family. During her stay in Chicago, Jocelyn accepted Christ into her life. She was delighted to share the gospel with anyone who crossed her path.

On January 29th, 2005 Jocelyn returned to Fort Dodge to be with her mother, family and friend and then became a resident at USA Healthcare.

Those thankful for having shared the love, joy and laughter of Jocelyn in their lives includes her mother, Vivian Smith; sister, Cassandra Collins and brother, Craig Collins all of Fort Dodge; 5 nephews, Justin Foy of Des Moines, Desmond Collins, DaQuan Altman, TyCrai and TyRieke Mericle and a very special niece, DaTerra Altman all of Fort Dodge. She was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and a special host of cousins in Chicago, IL.

Jocelyn was preceded in death by her father, Harry Smith, brother, Lucious Collins, Grandmothers, Katie Smith and Bernice Conlin; Grandfather, Robert Collins; Great-Great Grandmother, Eliza Bucker.
