JoAnne Strong

Visitation for JoAnne Strong 76 of Moorland will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Private family burial will take place at a later date.  She died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

JoAnne Strong was born September 4, 1938 in Fort Dodge to Fred and Gertrude (Townsend) Butrick.  She graduated from Fort Dodge High School.  She was united in marriage to John Strong on November 27, 1962 in Dakota City, Nebraska.  JoAnne worked at Trinity Regional Hospital and for the Fort Dodge Messenger for several years.

She is survived by her husband, John, children; Michelle Fredericksen, Roxanne Hurtt (Elton), Trisha Buffington and Rachel Peterson, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and her siblings, Jane Stringer, Lucile Seaunier and Fred Hutchinson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ricky, and sister Barb Seaunier.
