Memorial Services for JoAnn D. Richardson 60 of Fort Dodge will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

JoAnn Darlene Richardson was born October 2, 1956 to William and Patricia (Cole) Canavan in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. JoAnn worked various jobs throughout her career. She was united in marriage to Phil Richardson On September 11, 1999 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. JoAnn was a Fort Dodge history buff. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her lawn and flowers, classic cars and especially loved her family.

On December 17, 2016 JoAnn Darlene Richardson died peacefully at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband Phil of Fort Dodge, her children; Chad Peterson of Fort Dodge, Jamie Peterson of Gowrie, and Daniel (Cassandra) Peterson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, step children; Mark Richardson of Fort Dodge, and Wendy (Pat) Gerdes of Fort Dodge, grandchildren; Kyle, Jakob, Carter, step-grandchildren; Dakota and Sierra and step great grandchild Mya. She is also survived her siblings; Sandy (Lenny) Darling of Fort Dodge, Jeannie (Loren) Miller of Sioux Falls, SD, Bonnie Frank of Fort Dodge, Susie LaBaume of Fort Dodge, John Canavan of Fort Dodge, June (Fred) Smith of Fort Dodge, and Patrick (Jody) Canavan of Fort Dodge and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Billy Canavan.
