Jean Marie Brandt

Jean Marie Brandt, 87, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jean was born June 30, 1933, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Ollie M. and Fatimia Habhab. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High and continued her education at Jr. College in Fort Dodge. Jean was united in marriage to John James Brandt. For many years, Jean worked as a property manager (Wahkonsa, Warden Plaza & Sunny View) until her retirement. She also helped her husband who owned and operated J.J.'s Cafe. Jean enjoyed reading and traveling. She found joy in helping others. Jean was a member of BPW and served on the board for the Credit Union.

Jean is survived by her daughter: Victoria Jensen and husband John of Fort Dodge; son: Mark Brandt and wife Gayle of Alabama; step-son: Jim Brandt of Des Moines, IA; her sister: Patricia Pendelberry of Fort Dodge; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Samuel Gomah; great grandson: Alex Jensen; and her brother: Mustiphie Habhab.
