James Rich

James Alan Rich, 49, of Fort Dodge died Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2005 at the First Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.  Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, Whittemore.

Jim was born on November 7, 1955 in Algona, IA the son of Tom and Arliss (Adams) Rich.  He graduated from Algona High School with the class of 1975.  Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Crusaders Sunday School.  Jim cherished his time at Bloomers with special friends Joanne Peterson and Kristen Utley.  In his free time he enjoyed collecting coins, talking politics and studying astronomy.  Jim also enjoyed the countless hours he spent with his cat, Marcus.

Jim will be sadly missed by his parents Tom and Arliss of Algona, sisters; Jeanne (Rick) Nehman of West Des Moines, JoAnn (Dan) Curran of Ankeny, Jackie (Steve) Tielbur of Grinnell, IA, Janet (Patrick) Harper of Boise, ID, Judy (Tom) Terwilliger of Algona, Jane (Aaron) Christiensen of Ankeny, brothers; Jerry (Bev) Rich of Roland, IA, Jeff Rich of Omaha, NE , Jon Rich of Prairie City, IA and Joel Rich of Prairie City, IA; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
