James M. Pirie

James M. Pirie, 71, of Fort Dodge died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.             Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. Sunny Dominic officiating.             James was born February 2, 1938 the son of Harold and Lucille (Anderson) Pirie in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  James was raised in Swede Town and later moved to 1st Ave. North.  James graduated in the Fort Dodge Senior High class of 1957.  He earned himself a scholarship to Buena Vista.  Over the years James was employed at the Stromberg Hatchery, U.S. Mail Carrier, Sieges Auto Parts, Younkers, Social Security Office and a census numerator.             James had a passion for reading and knowledge which drove his thirst for medical information and history.  He enjoyed eating the various creations his brother whipped up in the kitchen.  James has struggled with health issues for the last several years but was always in good spirits and a joy to talk to.             Those thankful for having shared in James life include his sister; Carolyn Pirie, brother; Robert Pirie, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.             Mr. Pirie was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Rachel Ann Pirie, brother; Richard Pirie and a great nephew.
