James Jimmy A. Ross

James “Jimmy” A. Ross, 70, of Gowrie, IA and formerly of Ames, IA, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Aspire Nursing and Rehab in Gowrie. A private inurnment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, IA at a later date.

James was born October 25, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Richard Ross and Lola Maxine Gaeth (Dille). He attended school in West Liberty. Jimmy enjoyed playing pool and hanging out with his friends. His soft spoken, kindness was evident to those who met him.

Jimmy is survived by his sister-in-law, Joni Ross of Milledgeville, GA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Ross and Lola Maxine Gaeth, sisters, Joanne Ainsworth, Victoria Kennedy, Janis Rust and brothers, Charles Ross, Steven Robertson, John Ross.
