James Jim F. Jorgensen

James “Jim” F. Jorgensen, 81, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at his daughters home in Badger, IA. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

James was born on December 9, 1939, in Iowa, the son of Henry and Charlotte (McDermott) Jorgensen. He graduated from St. Edmund Catholic School. On May 13, 1961, he was united in marriage to Kamma N. Reeck at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge. Jim owned and operated Jims Texaco until his retirement. Jim enjoyed traveling with his wife in their camper, spending time at their lake home in Minnesota, NASCAR, working on cars and remodeling houses.

Jim is survived by 3 children: Bobette McClintock and husband Mike of Badger, Julie Walker and husband Sean of Stanley, IA, and James “JD” Jorgensen and wife Christina of Fort Dodge; 8 grandchildren: Niki (Dave) Petersen, Cynthia (Boomer) Creger, Sam Jorgensen, Matt (Sachet) Humphrey, Carley Jorgensen, Aubrey Jorgensen, JT Jorgensen and Andrew Jorgensen; and 4 great grandchildren: Evan Petersen, Allie Humphrey, Alivia Humphrey and Maverick Creger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on May 8, 2020; and a daughter: Marie Petersen.
