Irma Bertha Pride

Irma Bertha Pride, 85, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday May 8, 2009 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.             Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 12, 2009 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy Geitz officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.             Irma was born October 17, 1923 the daughter of Fredrich and Pauline (Ranthun) Consier in Knierim, Iowa.  On July 26, 1946 Irma was united in marriage to Woodrow Eugene “Gene” Pride.             Irma was a stay at home mom while her children were in school.  She later went to work at the Elks Club working there until her retirement.              Irma looked forward to taking a vacation with her family every summer.  She enjoyed going fishing as well as working in her vegetable and flower gardens.  As her family grew Irma was loved to visit and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.             Those thankful for having shared in Irmas life include her husband; Woodrow Eugene “Gene” Pride, children; Irma Jean Pride of Fort Dodge, IA, John (Sandy) Pride of Indianapolis, IN, Pauline (Steve) Grandors of Fort Dodge, IA, Sheryl (Mark) Jones of Fargo, ND, 5 grandchildren; Elizabeth “Beth” Knight, Lindsey Bramell, Brianna Jones, Andrea Jones, Stephanie Grandors and 2 great grandchildren; Peyton and Olivia Knight.             Mrs. Pride was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters; Ruth (Consier) Lentsch, Edna Consier, Lois (Consier) Johnson, brother; Earl Consier, 2 sons; Woodrow Eugene Pride, Jr. and William “Bill” Earl Pride.
