Hildegarde P. Hendricks

Hildegarde P. Hendricks, 93, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, May 30, 2004 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center, Friendship Haven.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Bruce~Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Allen Henderson of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the LuVerne Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

Hildegarde was born May 12, 1911 the daughter of Frederick and Barbara (Staudenmeier) Lothringer in Grand Mound, IA. She later graduated from the Lu Verne High School in the class of 1928. Following graduation she moved to Fort Dodge and attended the Fort Dodge Business College graduating in 1930.

In 1943 Hildegarde was united in marriage to Cecil Rosling. A short 5 years later Cecil died. In 1972 Hildegarde was remarried to Harry Hendricks he later died in 1976.

Hildegarde went to work for the Fort Dodge Central Telephone in which she dedicated 32 years of service. She retired in 1972.

Hildegarde enjoyed watching the University of Iowa’s basketball team play on television. She was a member of the Central Telephone Retirees Club and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Hildegarde is survived by step children, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hendricks was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Cecil Rosling, and Harry Hendricks, and 7 brothers and sisters.
