Glen T. Lankford

Glen Thomas Lankford, 82, of Sac City, IA, died Sunday March 15, 2009 at the Loring Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday March 19, 2009 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home. Interment will be follow in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Glen was born November 2, 1926 the son of George W. and Inez (Fowler) Lankford in Pioneer, Iowa. The family later moved to Fairfield where Glen also attended school. On February 2, 1952 Glen was united in marriage to Donna L. Buchanan in Fairfield, IA. Over the years Glen was employed in the construction industry and later went to work as a maintenance man at American Protein.

Glen was an avid fisherman and truly loved working with wood especially making clocks. He spent hours working on motors and cars with his sons and grandsons. Glen enjoyed the company of his family and many great friends.

Those thankful for having shared in Glens life include his wife, Donna, children; Michael (Donna) Lankford of Fort Dodge, Sharon Potts and Rob Foote of Fort Dodge, Steven (Linda) Lankford of Story City, Dan (Robin) Lankford of Fort Dodge, Christine Lankford and Mike Judd of Fort Dodge, sister, Loretta Scott of Fort Dodge, 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Lankford was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ada Harrison, Martha Vogt, Ruby Mehring, two brothers, George Lankford, Jr. and Harry Lankford.
