Gladys A. Williams

Gladys A. Williams, 56, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, November 10, 2003, at the Greenleaf Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday November 14, 2003, at Bruce’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Arnold Flater of Grace Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh, IA. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Gladys was born July 29, 1947, the daughter of Oscar and Dorothy (Barber) Williams in Lehigh, IA.

Gladys loved helping others whether at the Day Care or helping teach Sunday School. She enjoyed her time she spent with family and the trips for pie with her brother Tom. Gladys always talked about going to “the club” otherwise known as the friendship center. Gladys looked forward to taking walks, going shopping, and participating in all the activities at Greenleaf. Gladys just loved being around other people.

Those thankful for having shared in Gladys’ life include her four sisters, Georgia Brown of Boone, Cece (Ray) Paris of Fraser, Donna Williams of Jefferson, and Teresa (Tim) O’Brion of Milford.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Robert Williams, and one brother, Tom Williams.
